Only scan websites you are allowed to test

When you start a scan you confirm that you own the website or have the owner’s permission to test it. We may stop scans and close accounts that break this rule.

What the scan does

Our checker opens your pages the way a visitor would and reads them. It does not submit forms (except your login form, when you give login details) and skips links that look like actions (log out, delete, cancel, add to cart…). Requests are spaced out to avoid putting load on your server. Still, please use a test account and, if possible, a staging copy of your site.

Your login details

Login details you give us are stored encrypted, used only during your scan, and deleted automatically when the scan finishes or stops.

Your data

We keep your account details and scan reports so you can see them later. We never sell your data. To delete your account and reports, email info@helpingorbit.com.

No guarantee

Automated checks can miss problems or flag things that are fine. Use the report as a helpful guide, not a guarantee.
